Juvenile Common Raven eyes Osprey nest.

299 views Jim Middleton July 24, 2014 North Bay, ON Date shot: July 23, 2014

The female Osprey had sent the male off fishing earlier but was getting impatient so left the nest to go look for him. She followed the same route he took, possibly to see if he was 'slacking off' while the young ones were hungry. It wasn't more than 10 minutes when this Juvenile Raven flew towards the nest not expecting me to object, which I did. It flew over to a nearby tree before giving up. The young Ospreys remained perfectly still the whole time.
