Have you ever had a few thousand sandpipers fly straight at you - it's an awesome feeling. Evangeline Beach, Bay of Fundy, NS. I was sitting on rocks (at high tide) between 2 groups of sandpipers - no more than 10 feet from either. They all left the rocks at the same time, flew about 100 feet out over the ocean and doubled back to where I was sitting. As they got to me they split in 2 and landed back on both sides of me. It was cool knowing they didn't see me as a threat.
