Male and female magpies share the work of building their domed nest. The male seen at top of the picture has been busy gathering sticks for the exterior, while his mate, which just disappeared inside, has been equally busy forming a mud cup and lining the interior with grass! Spotted during a birding walk in the Confederation Park area.
