My wife Liz was takinhg a photo of a loon in our yard, when the drama of the hunt unfolded. Whilethe loon was facing the opposite direction, a juvenile female eagle swooped in low and slow, pulling the loon into the water. It was over quickly, and fed 4 hungry eagles.
