Busy beach combing Warbler.

3502 views Jim Middleton October 19, 2016 North Bay, ON Date shot: October 9, 2016

This sweet little Yellow-rumped Warbler (VIDEO uploaded), possibly an immature male Myrtle form, was busy hunting up dinner in an area I wouldn't normally see them, on a beach which was on the Lavase River in Champlain Park. I would normally see them under the forest canopy or in Tag Alders so it was a surprising discovery. He looked to have found a Bee and shook it apart so as not to eat too much at once I imagine. I think the Bee was already deceased and this Warbler did well to find it and the other treats I saw it dig out of the reeds by the water.
