AN UNUSUAL BLACK BIRD?

1549 views Stewart Wilson November 23, 2020 Cranbrook, BC Date shot: November 23, 2020

This coot appears to have decided that today was the day to go on an adventure because it was a distance from the safety of open water at the nearby lake. The rather unusual-looking feet are not webbed, but long-lobed toes which help move it through water where it is often to be found. However, the open water is shrinking as the lake freezes over with falling temperatures. Where else but at Elizabeth Lake?
