'Stargazing' of Sorts: Wishing With Stars at Christmas

I am an instructor at Robertson College in Edmonton. Our team of instructors invited students to write their wishes on stars (one star apiece) and post them on the glass pane at our reception. Said reception overlooks a patio and beyond it 109 Street where our campus is located. In warmer weather, the patio is an inviting place to relax and catch some fresh air; especially during breaks in classes. The steady snowfall during the weekend of Saturday 01 December neatly placed wintry 'cushions' on the benches; covering the tables and even the flower pots. Could be one of the wishes was for warmer weather? Anyway, the staff plans to look at each wish and seek ways to grant as many of them as feasible. Each students should expect a token like a candy cane or chocolate candy; as our way to acknowledge them and their respective wishes. It's that time of year...
