This photo was captured during our recent cold weather storm here in Grand Pre NS on our back deck. The doves were allowing the small birds to land on their backs and nestle down to stay warm while the temp was -25C wind chill -39. This photo is only one of several of the birds doing this. This behaviour is nothing short of the incredible instincts of our beautiful wildlife.
