Two male wild turkeys, or Toms as they're called, displaying on the main path at Mud Lake on Saturday. I was suirprised to see them as other Mud Lake visitors told me conservation officers had captured several pesky male turkeys and relocated them. I guess they missed these two. To be fair, we humans are intruding on their territory. Toms are known to be a bit more agressive during mating season which can start as early as February. We can all get along, just exercise some caution when you run into them.
