I was heading back along the Cranberry Trail in Callander when something jumped in front of me then stopped. It was getting fairly dark as some clouds were suddenly moving in as scheduled so while I was in a rush to beat the storm I just had to get a shot of this American Toad that appeared to have shed its skin very recently. It isn't as sharp as I would have liked it but it was a low light situation which is the kiss of death for a point and shoot camera. There were several people coming so I made sure it got to the edge of the trail before I left.
