1 week ago, 5 baby woodchucks emerged from under our deck. For the past couple of years, mama, who we called WOODROW was a regular visitor. We thought she was a he but now realize that WOODSIE gave birth. We decided to help mom out having given them lettuce ( broccoli, bananas and peanuts are their favorites .Mom has enjoyed the extra help feeding In the past few days they have ventured out to search for greens and check out her old tunnel. What an enjoyable experience this has been to share.
