My beautiful Blu Jay friends are growing more accustomed to me, and now gather closer as I feed them. The male drops in grabs a peanut and flies off to summon the others. This beauty, which I assume to be a female Jay judging by her smaller size, felt comfortable enough to rest for a few moments at my feet before grabbing a peanut and flying off. "Research suggests that some birds may know who their human friends are, as they are able to recognize people's faces and differentiate between human voices."
