I saw the young White-tails in a field and decided to try calling them to see how they would react. I made a sound that many small mammals react positively to and sometimes works with young deer. It is not as successful with adults. These two, however, were very curious and decided to check me out. They approached about 100 feet closer than they were originally then stopped. A minute later, their curiosity satisfied, they headed back to join mom.
