Green Eyed Carpenter Bee?

70882 views Rita Cordeiro September 9, 2021 Toronto, ON Date shot: September 7, 2021

This little bee-uty caught my eye for those beautiful green eyes! From what I gather, this could be what is known as "Xylocopa sonorina, the valley carpenter bee or Hawaiian carpenter bee." "This species is primarily found in the southwestern part of the United States (Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, and Utah) and adjacent parts of Mexico. It is large (about the size of a queen bumble bee), with all black females and golden/buff-colored males with green eyes."
