My son, Gabriel, is not a winter fan. When he was younger, he would actually cry at the sight of first snow! But this year is different. With a good friend, he spends a few hours weekly at Stillwater Stables on Russell Road, Ottawa. With winter gear on, he loves to be outdoors with the horses and inside the barn feeding the bunnies. Gabriel has developed a true friendship with Misty. My son has Down syndrome, and oftentimes, it can be a challenge for him to make good friends. But at Stillwater Stables, he has made a true friend...or two...or three... :)
