We've had lots of wildlife on the lake as the ice melted. I've spotted some beautiful ducks including the common Mergansers, Buffleheads and most spectacular, the wood duck. The best show was when a seagull swooped down to our last remaining ice floe with a sunfish in his mouth. Soon another seagull came to challenge him for it and then a family of Mergansers and finally our river otter appeared and scared them all off and enjoyed the spoils. He actually looked like he was smiling after he swallowed the last morsel.
