While searching for snowy owls on Wolfe Island I spotted this very large coywolf / coydog running across a farmer's field. It crossed the road in front of me and ran to the end of the next field before stopping and turning to look right at me. A very large, strong, healthy, and magnificent looking animal who has obviously wintered well. The image was taken handheld with a 70-300 zoom lens from a long distance so it is not as clear as I would have liked, but still worth sharing. Spotted on the 4th Line just north of Reed's Bay Road.
