Elmira Crop Circles... Microburst?

545 views Dave St.Louis June 23, 2018 Elmira, ON Date shot: June 23, 2018

We woke up to these flattened patches of wheat behind our house in the eastern outskirts of Elmira. There are several patches each about the size of a car, and a few smaller ones, all scattered throughout an area smaller than a football field. The wheat has been pushed over, but not crushed, suggesting it wasn't caused by trampling or machinery. Lawn chairs - feet away from these patches - easily tip over in high winds, but were untouched...and I don't think we had much active weather overnight. I know microbursts can flatten crops, but I thought they generally cause damage over a larger area.
