I took this sunset picture on February 20. The actual sun had already set below the horizon. A sliver of sun is still visible on the horizon between the buildings. The image of the sun was reflected off of atmospheric ice crystals before reaching my eyes, making the sun appear above the horizon. This is a form of light pillar.
