I had thought of making a night sky photo on the Risser's Beach boardwalk a couple years ago. Last night I looked at it on google earth and as soon as I realized the curvature allowed me to position the Milky Way practically anywhere I wanted to, I had to go. The Lagoon, Swan and Eagle nebulae are captured in their full glorious colours while Jupiter rides above Barnard's Pipe Nebula.
