Wow !!! Couldn't believe how quickly the tobacco is growing this year. It's gotta love this heatwave. Approximately 90% of all tobacco produced in Canada is grown in Norfolk County and the eastern section of Elgin County, Ontario. This is known as the tobacco belt and with it's moderate climate, well educated farmers, sandy & silt-loam soils, many other high value crops are also grown here very successfully. Norfolk County, Ontario is also known as Ontario's Garden, supplying everything from apples to corn, strawberries to potatoes for Ontario, Canada, the U.S.A and the rest of the world.
