The Canadian Coast Guard is world famous for search and rescue but there are other endeavours it participates in that are critical to our waters. Here's the Canadian Coast Guard "LIMNOS" visiting Port Dover, Ontario on June 23, 2020. The ship's name originates from "limnology" which is the study of inland waters. Limnology focuses on the biological, chemical, physical and geological attributes of water. This 44.8 meter, 147 foot long vessel was built by Port Weller Dry Docks Ltd. in 1968.
