Normandale Norfolk County Ontario

24987 views Earl Hartlen August 18, 2020 Normandale, ON Date shot: August 8, 2020

The opening of the Welland Canal in 1829 allowed Normandale, Ontario to quickly become a shipping hub for markets throughout the Great Lakes, up the St Lawrence seaway and around the world. Past it's early glory days, Normandale is now one of the most picturesque communities you'll find throughout Norfolk County, with well maintained historical buildings and residential homes. It's a beautiful village, one of the many that dot the landscape following the north shorelines of Lake Erie. Look at how much woodland there is. With 25% of the landscape in forest cover, Norfolk County has the highest percentage of forested land in Southwestern Ontario.
