May 15 and trees have Fall Colours, Why?

14011 views Jon Van Loon June 18, 2019 Bright Victoria, Australia Date shot: May 14, 2007

Have you ever seen trees turning into fall colours in May? Probably not unless you have been in the southern parts of the Southern Hemisphere at that time. Since the seasons are inverted in the Southern Hemisphere May is Fall not Spring. This picture was taken on a trip to Bright, a town in NE Victoria Australia. The ice hockey season also runs through this period and I coached a team in Canterbury, Sydney NSW.
