This Statue is in the main square of Helsinki Finland. It is made of copper and has become badly weathered causing the very obvious blue green hues of copper oxide covering much of its surface. If you look carefully you will see the top of the statue's head is white. One might think that the statue was originally fitted with a white cap. However this white artifact is the result of a coating of roosting pigeon droppings collecting there over many years.
