Fuchsia Encrusted Ruin

27627 views Jon Van Loon August 9, 2019 County Cork, Ireland Date shot: July 12, 2008

In Southern Ontario Fuchsias are frost tender and won't make it through the winter. Thus these beautiful plants commonly form part of hanging baskets in our summer gardens, but have to be repurchased each year. This picture, taken in Ireland, of an ancient Abbey ruin, shows that beautiful fuchsias are not only hardy in this climate, but spread like wildfire covering a large part of its the walls.
