Forbidden Beach

I took this photo from a South African Airline flight at 3500 ft as it crossed the coast of Namibia, South West Africa. This beautiful stretch of beach is off limits to anyone not working for De Beers Corp. and is guarded strictly. It contains one of the world's most valuable concentration of fine jewelry grade diamonds. The diamonds were washed down an ancient river into the ocean which were then washed back up on the beach in storms. You probably wouldn't want to swim here anyway because of the frigid temperature of these waters.
