Here is proof that plants can grow almost anywhere. This picture that I took in January some time ago in a gorge about 300 km east of Broome Western Australia. This shows a plant most likely an Acacia, note the yellow flowers and thorns, growing from a crack some 100 meters up in a vertical cliff. The air temperature on this mid summer January day in Australia was close to +40 C. The temperature on that sun baked rock surface must have been at least 10 C hotter. Yet this little plant was growing and even flowering happily from a crack therein.
