Thursday, November 6, 2014, 11:05 AM - Scrapers and shovels out, Quebec! By Friday, all regions of Quebec will have seen their first snowfall of the season.
For the south and center parts of the province, precipitation will begin to fall as rain Thursday evening before changing to snow Friday morning. Trace amounts are possible in Montreal, possibly impacting the morning commute in the region.
Up to 5 cm is expected in the Eastern Townships, with Outaouais and Saguenay expected to see a few flurries throughout the day.
In the east, however, a second storm in less than a week is expected to hit the region Friday.

"Snowfall amounts could exceed 15 cm and even reach 25 cm over higher grounds," says Environment Canada in a winter storm watch. "Snow will be mixed with rain at times along the shore, thus reducing snow accumulation."
Wind gusts associated with this system could reach up to 90 km/h in eastern Quebec. Gusts up to 60 km/h are expected for southern parts of the province.
Cooler temperatures are expected behind the system.
