This amateur video captures an electrifying lightning strike over a moving train in Tokyo.

The Japanese resident was in the right place at the right time as the sky lit up before the train was hit.

A massive bolt made direct contact, shocking both the cameraman and the passengers inside.

Those on board said the cars temporarily went dark, but no injuries were reported.

Even though sparks were visible shooting up from the front of the train, officials say it was able to move again after about 10 minutes.

The video was shot near an Odakyu Electric Railway station during a thunderstorm Monday night.
