"Snow will affect mostly regions just north of the St Lawrence Valley, from the Outaouais towards Charlevoix through the Laurentians, Lanaudière and Upper Mauricie regions, and northern portion of the Québec region," Environment Canada warns.

The precipitation will taper off through Friday morning for eastern Ontario and southern Quebec.

Drivers are being urged to adjust travel plans if necessary as wet, slushy accumulations could impact the roads.
