Friday, November 2, 2018, 5:26 PM - A 200-lb tortoise was caught on camera taking a leisurely stroll through a residential street after it managed to very slowly escape from its owners in Grand Terrace, California.
Lieutenant Doug Wolfe of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, shared the now-viral footage on October 30 of the wandering tortoise sauntering across a road, at a speed of about 1 kilometre per hour.

“Grand Terrace deputies wrangled this 200lb tortoise who was roaming the streets. He/she will be returned to the owners,” Wolfe tweeted on October 30.
There's no word on who owned the tortoise or how it made its (not at all) lighting-fast escape.
The footage has surpassed 10,000 views on Twitter.
