VIDEO: Watch the International Space Station pass by the Sun

Astrophotographer Thierry Legault has taken stunning images of the International Space Station (ISS) passing by the sun in September 2014 and uploaded his work onto YouTube.

At first the massive space station looks like a speck of dirt crossing the sun, but when slowed down, the telltale silhouette of the ISS can be seen.

In the first section of the film the passage of the ISS is shown in real time, where it zips across the screen in 0.7 seconds.



Legault used a Celestrong C14 EdgeHD to capture the incredible images seen in the video. You can see an image of his gear at the end of the clip.
