VIDEO: Northern lights and sunrise collide over the Earth

Friday, February 6, 2015, 3:34 PM - Stunning footage taken aboard NASA's International Space Station (ISS) shows northern lights, or auroras, meeting with the sunrise over Earth.
It's not clear when the footage was shot, but it was released by the space agency Thursday.
Astronaut Terry Virts filmed the awe-inspiring display.

In the video, the ISS can be seen passing over the North American eastern seaboard with a hint of green auroras on the horizon. Sunlight creeps in as the ISS speeds towards day light, overtaking the auroras.
The video is a viral hit on Facebook, racking up more than 15,000 'likes' in just one day.
