The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for severe storms in the area, but as of Thursday afternoon, there was no official confirmation from the agency of any touchdowns by the Storm Prediction Center (SPC).

One local news outlet said a possible tornado may have touched down near the Erie County Fairgrounds. The National Weather Service has yet to confirm this report.

Severe storms brought down several trees in Steuben County Thursday, SPC also reported.

Forecasters were warning of additional strong to severe storms from the U.S. northern Plains and central Plains east across parts of the Great Lakes and the Midwest through the afternoon and evening.
