A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for several parts of Northern Ontario.
"A cold front will be sweeping through the affected region this afternoon which could act as a trigger for thunderstorms to develop," said Brett Soderholm, meteorologist at The Weather Network.
Environment Canada issued a statement ahead of the events, informing that severe thunderstorm conditions were possible Saturday afternoon and into the late evening.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain," said Environment Canada in a statement.
