This eagle tried to ace a landing. It failed hilariously

Monday, July 27, 2015, 2:05 PM - Even the majestic golden eagle is not safe from Internet ridicule in the age of YouTube.
This gem popped up on the YouTube account of Lauris Grantis on Sunday, with sadly no information of when and where it was shot.
It would have been nice to know that, but it's funny enough on its own, watching the beautiful bird soar into its nest -- or attempt to, anyway, before landing JUST short after that branch thwarted its approach.
For us, the best part of all that is how the eagle just lies there for several seconds, with its head looking around here and there in confusion. "Did I seriously just MISS my own nest?" It may very well be thinking.
If that wasn't embarrassing enough, when our hero finally rouses itself to actually scramble back to a safe perch, its flapping around as it tries to get its balance makes the whole thing look even more ridiculous.
We're not sure where this eagle cam is located (the bird seems to have a tag on its leg as well), but its apparent isolation has not saved it from 15 minutes of unwanted fame. Maybe it'll avoid that branch next time.
