Post-tropical storm Arthur was no longer a hurricane when it hit the Maritime provinces yesterday, but with winds gusting more than 100 km/h in some areas, it still packed a big punch.

The strongest winds were in Nova Scotia, but the storm brought torrential downpours to New Brunswick also, with more than 100 mm falling on some communities in just a few hours. Prince Edward Island and parts of Quebec were also affected.
