Tear-jerker duels: Air Canada and Westjet's Christmas videos

The Christmas decorations are up, the eggnog is flowing, the Santa lists are written - and Air Canada and Westjet post their Christmas tear-jerkers on YouTube.
At a time when many Canadians at home or abroad plan to travel, or wish they could, the two carriers' latest videos make a go of tugging at the heartstrings of Canadian travellers.
We'll start with Air Canada's bit, which sees two pilots in London walk into a Canadian expat pub with a very enticing Christmas present:
Anyone who's ever had to be abroad away from their families over the holidays will feel that one for sure.
Westjet, meanwhile, takes a different tack. Their video takes us to the Dominican Republic, where one community gets a visit from a blue-clad Santa and his helpers, anxious to bring goodies and Canadian-style Christmas to the tropics:
Really takes "it's better to give than receive" to heart, that one.
