Spring storm brings snow to Sydney
Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 10:30 AM - More than 20 cm of snow fell in Sydney, Australia after a powerful storm struck the area on Tuesday.
Incoming and outgoing flights from the airport were delayed after torrential downpours hit the the location. Some light localized flooding was reported indoors.
At least 60 passengers were stuck on a train between Kingsgrove and Bexley North forcing emergency personnel to begin a rescue operation.
The state of New South Wales was among the worst hit by the raging storm with officials reporting more than 300 rescue calls.
At least 30,000 customers were also left without power.
