Saturday, October 21, 2017, 9:07 PM - The soggy weather pattern in British Columbia has began to ease throughout the province, but some additional rainfall is expected in central areas of the province.

The Lower Mainland should be dry on Sunday, as a ridge builds in into the evening and pushes rain further north.  Rain will return to the Lower Mainland on Wednesday, and the central coast will should stay wet throughout the week.

We take a look at what's ahead, below.

Weather highlights

  • It is advised that you clean out the leaves from your storm drains as more rain and wind could cause water to pool on streets again
  • New system moves in on Wednesday in the Lower Mainland
  • 30-50+ cm of snow through Monday at higher elevations
  • Heavy rain eases through Sunday morning for the Lower Mainland, lingering for East Fraser Valley, Squamish and Whistler

A drier pattern beckons for early next week, with near to above-seasonal temperatures.
