theweathernetwork.com
Sunday, August 20, 2017, 10:28 AM - A system from New England is expected to bring showers to the Maritimes through Sunday.
As well, lingering instability brings the chance of some non-severe thunderstorms throughout the region. Southern portions of both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick could see about 30-40 mm of rain.
Temperatures will struggle to reach the 20oC mark today on the coasts of both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, with temperatures toward to mid-20s inland.
In Newfoundland, high pressure will keep temperatures in the low-teens. The frost advisory has been dropped, but it will continue to be a cool weekend.
Looking ahead, a warmer pattern is expected for next week across Eastern Canada. A rather potent system looks to track across on Wednesday into Thursday.
