Tuesday, February 2, 2016, 4:30 PM - Toronto subway commuters experienced a slight delay Tuesday morning when a raccoon sauntered onto the platform and hopped on a train at Spadina station.

People were quick to take out their phones and document the incident, which took place around 8 a.m.

One video shows the brazen raccoon walking down the subway platform, stopping to sniff a subway rider.

It then hopped onto a subway car, taking commuters by surprise.

The train remain parked at the station with the doors open until the rodent left the car and wandered into the subway tunnel.

"We had about a 4 minute delay. I have no idea how it got on the train," TTC spokesperson Brad Ross told CTV Toronto.
