Thursday, February 22, 2018, 7:38 PM - Another round of freezing rain is on deck for Quebec, on the heels of an ice storm that left 100,000 in the dark earlier this week.

Two systems are targeting the area.

"A period of freezing rain is expected beginning early this afternoon in the Outaouais," says Environment Canada in the warning. "The area will gradually spread eastward, reaching the Eastern Townships early in the evening."

Between 2 and 5 mm of freezing rain precipitation is expected before changing over to intermittent rain as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.

"Take care when walking or driving in affected areas," EC says.

There will be a break with dry weather for Saturday, but the next system arrives Saturday night into Sunday.

A period of snow and freezing rain is likely Saturday night for Ottawa and Montreal before the changeover to rain.
