Thursday, August 2, 2018, 7:43 AM - Severe thunderstorms moved through Ottawa Wednesday, sparking tornado warnings. Those were quickly replaced with severe thunderstorm warnings, but dark clouds and heavy rain continued to dominate the day's weather story.

Environment Canada warned the cell was possibly producing a twister near Stittsville. All tornado warnings were dropped just after 6 p.m. local time.
