MUST SEE: Tornado-warned cell brings SCARY skies to Ottawa

Thursday, August 2, 2018, 7:43 AM - Severe thunderstorms moved through Ottawa Wednesday, sparking tornado warnings. Those were quickly replaced with severe thunderstorm warnings, but dark clouds and heavy rain continued to dominate the day's weather story.
Environment Canada warned the cell was possibly producing a twister near Stittsville. All tornado warnings were dropped just after 6 p.m. local time.

Scattered showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected across parts of central Ontario through Thursday with a return to drier conditions and above seasonal temperatures for the long weekend.
