New York Times puts Squamish, B.C. and Quebec City on its list of 52 places to see in 2015
Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 5:11 PM - The New York Times has given a hat tip to Squamish, B.C. and Quebec City, Quebec. Both regions were included in the publication's "52 places to go to in 2015" list.
The cities came in at number 32 and 40, respectively.
Squamish is praised for its Sea to Sky Gondola, a $22 million project that has shuttled close to 500,000 people 3,000 feet above sea level since it opened in May, 2014.
Stunning scenery, an annual return of thousands of bald eagles and an "unusual combination of West Coat wilderness and accessibility" are just a few of the reasons Squamish has made the list.
Quebec City is noted for its state-of-the-art Quebecor Arena, the $400-million home of the NHL team the Quebec Nordiques that's slated to open before the start of the 2015 season.
What it doesn't mention is the city's cobblestone streets, quaint architecture and incredible cuisine.
