Thursday, June 16, 2016, 11:21 AM - A Thai man arrived home Sunday only to discover a 6-foot-long scaley, unwelcome guest trying to get into his home.

A massive monitor lizard was found standing on its hind legs, clinging to Attanai Thaiyuanwong's front door in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

Thaiyuanwong posted a video of the reptile on Facebook. It was published on June 12 and has since gone viral, with over 300,000 views.

In the clip (below) you can hear the family scream as the lizard whips its tail and a forth. Towards the end of the video, a man appears to lure the reptile away with some rope.

It is unclear if the family managed to successfully move the lizard.

Monitor lizards are believed to bring good fortune to those who encounter them. According to a translation by Coconuts Bangkok, at one point in the video a woman can be heard saying, "they say if you throw a coin at it, it will go away. It's like giving the lizard luck and fortune."

Monitors are resilient creatures that inhabit tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australia.
