Snow to make for messy evening commute Friday

Friday, December 29, 2017, 11:34 AM - A band of lake-effect snow drifting north across the Greater Toronto Area is expected to create hectic driving conditions throughout the day Friday.
"The greatest impact will be along the QEW/Gardiner corridor and parts of the 407," says The Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham. "Fortunately, it should be a relatively light commuter day."

A low over Lake Ontario allows for the potential if a burst of heavier snow for the eastern GTA as winds converge over relatively warmer waters, likely impacting the Friday evening commute.
If this band of snow does materialize, it may significantly disrupt the evening commute tomorrow ahead of the upcoming holiday weekend.
