See the giant cow that's taking over your social media feeds
Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 3:11 PM - Meet Knickers the cow. He might be the largest steer in Australia.
He's enormous - standing at 6 feet, four inches and weighing 1.4 tons.
Knickers has become an internet celebrity after video of him went viral.
But as impressive as he is, Knickers isn't the largest cow in the world. That title, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, belongs to Bellino the bovine of Rome, Italy.
He's got a good three inches over Knickers, standing at six feet, seven inches.
TOO BIG TO SLAUGHTER
Owner Geoff Pearson told local news he can't bring himself to slaughter Knickers and, even if he could, he'd be too heavy to put through a processing facility.
"So I think it will just live happily ever after," he added.
Pearson says he bought Knickers for $400 to act as a steer, which serves the purpose of leading other cattle.
"He was always a standout steer from the others, a bit bigger than the rest," Pearson said.
