The massive Fort McMurray fire has now spread to over 200,000 hectares with roughly 1,600 buildings destroyed, mostly which are homes. 

While difficult to fathom the true size of this blaze and its impact,  these maps show the shape and space the fire would take up in major Canadian cities. It's a frightening look at the magnitude of the devastation.
